Every year, thousands of children across Nigeria go without access to quality books. At The KidLit Fest, we believe every child—no matter their background—deserves the joy of a good story. That’s why we’re shipping in a container filled with books for children in hospitals, orphanages, and underserved communities.
What We’re Doing
Sponsoring a Book Container to Nigeria
We are raising $16,000 (₦12.8 million) to fund the cost of shipping a full 20-pallet container of books through the Books For Africa program.
Distributing Books to Vulnerable Children
Once the container arrives, The Kid Lit Foundation will lead the delivery of books to:

Children’s wards in public hospitals

Orphanages and underserved communities​
These books will stock our Box Library Project, power our book clubs and be shared freely at The KidLit Fest.
Fueling Year-Round Literacy Access
This container is a step toward lasting change.
​The books inside will stock our KLF Box Libraries in children’s hospital wards, support outreach and travel into communities where children have never owned a book.
